In this part of my work i had to initially make a overall synopsis of what i wanted my music magazine to be like as a description and then had to write up all the text i wanted included in my magazine. A questionnaire had to be designed so that i could see what people like and don't like and their opinions, this was to give me the best possible end product.Like my preliminary task i had to make drafts of what i was going on to make in a proffessional programme, again i used photoshop. As i had already used this on my preliminary task i was a little better at using it. It took me a long time to place my different text in positions that worked. Again with this task i had to search the ABC website to find more exciting texts that would better suite my style of magazine.
For my double page spread of my music magazine i had to use a different programme, InDesign. This programme was extremely hard to get the hang of especially as a had just got used to using Photoshop. I used the ABC website to download fonts, similar to what i downloaded for my front cover. As this programme did not have layers like photoshop it made it very hard to delete certain parts of my page which i did not like.
Finally at the end of this i produced a A3 page of pictures from my music magazine which i had not used on my work.

Well Meeghan i really like the way your music magazine looks, it shows that you have really good skills in media and you have clearly been working really hard well done. Your front cover and blog show off just how really creative you are.
Here comes the small criticism, no pun intended, i would have liked for you to have included some more brighter colors on your front cover. Just so it stands out that bit more, bit apart from that i really like it!..
by looking at the smaller images of your music magazine i like the way you have layed it out. You can see everything clearly on the page and it is very eye catching. The one thing i noticed in your double page spread is that you have used very girly colours this may be intended for your audience but if you were hoping to appeal to boys the colours could have been chosen a little better. other than that everything looks well put together.
Really like both of your magazine covers, I think your prelim task looks really good, especially the fonts and colors. The image works well too. Your music mag is really good. I like your image alot, it works really well, and the overall colour scheme. I think this makes a really good house style. However, I agree with Broden that your double page spread is very feminine.
i think you have created a great front cover and double page spread. i like the way you have done the layout and the colors look great together. also on the double page i think the different font types stand out very well.
theres two things that i think stands out the most which is tyhe piocture and the heading. i like the magazine as a whole but i would add a few more stap lines to make the cover look even better.
I love the picture on your front cover, the bold colours are really catching esspecially with the dark background. I alsothink there is a good contrast with the coverlines and they quite well proportioned.
I like your layout on your double page spread but the only critism is that i think the plain colours make it look a bit flat. Apart from that i think they look very creative :)
Well Meeghan your magazine is a ver popular choice of topic amongst the pupils in the classroom and it is easy to see why. You articulate skills and keen eye for detail flourishes in this example of your work. Good job.
Kindest regards,
Brook
I like the masthead on your front cover. This really stands out from the rest of the page and drew in my attention. I like the use of different size fonts and colours. This drew in my attention and made me want to read more. If you was to do this task again i think you should have added a few more strap lines in order to make the page look a little fuller because there is alot of empty space.
